Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles, in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Tennessee
- Pediatric nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately and timely
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Identify expected outcomes tailored to the child, family, and clinical situation
- Coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust care as needed
- Collaborate with patients and families to support patient-centered care
- Promote quality, safety, and ethical nursing practice
- Participate in professional development and contribute to team collaboration
- Maintain current nursing knowledge and clinical competency
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and assist with emergency lifting up to 150 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and computer use
