Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving is a full-service community hospital and a proud member of the Baylor Scott & White Health system. Established in 1964 with funding from the Irving Hospital Authority, the medical center has grown into a trusted healthcare provider serving the Irving and greater North Texas communities.
The hospital operates 293 licensed beds and delivers a high volume of care each year, including nearly 33,000 outpatient visits, more than 76,000 emergency department visits, and over 11,700 inpatient admissions. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving is also a leading destination for maternity services, welcoming more than 2,000 newborns annually.
The facility provides comprehensive care across a wide range of specialties, including oncology, digestive health, cardiovascular care, and women’s services. It has been nationally recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a Best Hospital for conditions such as COPD, heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, stroke, kidney failure, and maternity care.
Demonstrating its commitment to nursing excellence, the medical center earned its third Magnet Recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in 2022. That same year, it also received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Commission on Cancer and was once again voted Best Medical Center by the Greater Irving–Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce.
