Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Conditional Release Program (CONREP) within the Satellite Statewide Transitional Residential Treatment Program (STRP). This residential forensic mental health program provides court- and parole-mandated treatment and supervision to individuals with serious mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care and oversee all medication-related practices for program clients
Administer and monitor medications, treatments, and medical procedures in accordance with policy and licensure standards
Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary treatment teams
Coordinate with pharmacies and laboratories, including medication authorizations and lab services
Monitor client health status and promptly report changes in condition or behavior
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and electronic health records
Respond to medical emergencies and provide on-call consultation as scheduled
Support staff training, policy implementation, and quality of care initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and active California RN license
Minimum of two years of nursing experience in an acute or outpatient setting
Experience working with psychiatric populations preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical judgment skills
Candidates with active or in-progress Nurse Practitioner licensure will not be considered

Requirements

Ability to pass DOJ, FBI, and Community Care Licensing background clearances
Valid California driver’s license and acceptable driving record
TB clearance
