Cincinnati Children’s is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join its nationally recognized Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at the Burnet Campus. This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) with rotating day and night shifts. The expected hourly pay range is $54.90–$68.02, with an annualized compensation range of $114,192–$146,369, and the position is eligible for full-time benefits. In this role, you will deliver advanced, patient-centered care to complex cardiac patients—from newborns to adults—while collaborating with a highly specialized interdisciplinary team in a leading academic medical center.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical exams
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging
Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with regulations
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Participate in quality improvement, research, and clinical education initiatives

34-bed, state-of-the-art Cardiac ICU
Care for post-surgical, transplant, ECMO, ventricular assist, and complex cardiac patients

Requirements

Master’s degree in related field or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Acute Care Certification
Eligible for Ohio licensure (multi-state licensure may be required)
Credentialing in accordance with Cincinnati Children’s delineation of privileges
APP experience in a subspecialty preferred
