Blythedale Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to serve as a primary provider on our inpatient pediatrics unit, caring for medically complex patients from infancy through young adulthood.
Role Overview
- Manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions, including respiratory failure, neurological disorders, congenital heart disease, feeding and growth disorders, and orthopedic rehabilitation
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care, medication and device management, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists and a multidisciplinary care team
- Educate families and coordinate transitions from hospital to home
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts (8am–6pm), including limited weekends and one holiday per year
Reporting to: Medical Director
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric hospital, critical care, or emergency medicine experience
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license with prescriptive authority
- BLS and PALS certification
- Experience with medically complex pediatric patients and EMR systems
