Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-acuity care to post-operative and trauma patients
- Manage ventilators, invasive lines, complex drips, and ICU monitoring
- Perform ongoing assessments and respond quickly to patient condition changes
- Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and care teams
- Assist with emergency interventions and procedures
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation
- Educate patients and families throughout recovery
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license (or ability to obtain)
- BLS, CPR, and ACLS certifications
- 2–3 years of recent SICU experience
- Strong critical thinking, hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid response skills
