Shift: 12-hour Night Shift
Position Overview
Mount Carmel East is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its 16-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU). This unit cares for the highest-acuity neurological patients in the system and is part of the only Comprehensive Stroke Center within Mount Carmel.
The RN provides patient-centered, evidence-based care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, delivering care that addresses patients’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs in accordance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in a critical care environment
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
- Collaborate with patients, families, and care teams to develop individualized plans of care
- Communicate patient status and updates clearly to team members and families
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Promote patient safety, quality initiatives, and professional nursing practice
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Active Ohio RN license
- New graduate nurses with less than one year of experience will be enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program
- Casual RNs require a minimum of 2 years of experience
