Position Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides direct resident care and supports unit operations in collaboration with the Registered Nurse. This role delivers safe, high-quality nursing care using the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and facility policies, while helping ensure smooth, organized, and efficient unit operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and assist with resident care planning
- Implement and monitor care using the nursing process
- Delegate and supervise nursing care activities as directed
- Maintain clinical competence and promote quality outcomes
- Build professional relationships with residents, families, and care teams
- Support regulatory compliance and documentation standards
Required Qualifications
- Active LPN/LVN license in the state of employment
- BLS certification from a Vibra-approved provider
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience
- 3 years of medical-surgical experience
- 1 year of specialty-specific experience
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and use clinical judgment
- Basic computer and EMR proficiency
