UNC Health – Johnston Health is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical, medical, obstetrical, diagnostic, and other procedures. This role supports UNC Health’s mission to improve the health and well-being of the communities it serves.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-operative patient assessments, including history, physical exam, and anesthesia care planning
- Explain anesthesia plans, risks, and benefits to patients and families
- Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia in accordance with departmental and ASA standards
- Prepare and check anesthesia equipment, medications, and monitoring devices
- Manage anesthesia care throughout procedures and respond to abnormal situations
- Maintain accurate and timely anesthesia documentation and quality reports
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and professional development
- Contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration and clinical learning environments
Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an AANA-accredited Nurse Anesthesia program
Licensure / Certification
- Active CRNA (Advanced Practice Provider) license in North Carolina
- Board certification as required by the department
Experience
- No prior CRNA experience required
