Position Overview
As an RN in our Dermatology department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You’ll gain specialized experience in the evaluation and treatment of a wide range of skin conditions, including skin diseases, cancers, wounds, and burns. The role also includes hands-on involvement in a variety of dermatologic and cosmetic procedures such as lasers, BBL, PDL, blue light therapy, biopsies, microdermabrasion, and other advanced treatments.
This position offers meaningful patient interaction in a clinic-based environment and serves as an excellent alternative to traditional hospital or inpatient nursing roles. Previous clinic or dermatology experience is not required—we welcome nurses who are eager to learn and expand their skill set.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide general nursing care in accordance with established standards
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient visits and procedures
- Assist physicians during examinations, treatments, and diagnostic testing
- Observe, document, and report patient conditions and responses to treatments
- Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, nutrition, and ongoing care
- Greet and prepare patients for exams; obtain and document relevant clinical information
- Respond to patient phone calls related to treatment and care instructions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Work Environment
This role is based in a medical office and exam/procedure room setting. The environment is well-lit, well-ventilated, and typical of a busy outpatient clinic. Exposure to communicable diseases may occur, as is common in healthcare settings.
Physical & Mental Requirements
The position requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and assisting patients throughout the day. Nurses must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds occasionally and possess manual dexterity, coordination, and corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
